Powerwell is founded in 1986 under the business entity of Canwell Trading Supplies. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the leading manufacturers and assemblers of high quality switchboards in Malaysia.

2009	•	Acquire Vietnam manufacturing factory from J & V.
2008	•	Invested on Laser Cutting Machinery enhancing cutting accuracy and efficiency in production output.
	•	Exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
2007	•	Malaysia Headquater relocated to a full-fledge and spacious (over 65,000 sq. ft. working space) premise in Kota Kemuning.
2006	•	Awarded one of the largest National Sewerage Treatment Plant project in Malaysia.
	•	Business partnership with KBF Trading and Contracting (Co.) W.L.L. in Doha, Qatar.
	•	Setup of a manufacturing factory in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
	•	Exhibition in Vietnam.
	•	Established business partnership with SIEMENS as their SIVACON Technology Partners.
2005	•	Participated in the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (SMART) project in which, is the world's first dual purpose tunnel and among the largest in the world.
	•	Established a Vietnam representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
	•	Appointed as a member of The Electrical and Electronics Accusation of Malaysia (TEEAM).

	•	With increase in manpower, we have moved all our operations to a new premise of 2 units of Semi-D Factory (21,000 sq. ft. built-up, 23,800 sq.ft land) at NO. 1 & 3, Jalan Industries MAS 7, Taman MAS Sepang, 47100 Puchong.

1993	•	Bought our first Semi-D factory at No. 16, Jalan TPP 1/11, Taman Perindustrian Puchong, Batu 12, Jalan Puchong, 47100 Puchong. (7200 sq. ft. built-up, 9600 sq. ft. land)
1990	•	Moved to a bigger factory (2000 sq. ft) at Jalan Chan Sow Lin, Kuala Lumpur.
1989	•	Obtained an upgrading new factory project for NCK Industries.
1988	•	Secured the 1st 2000A MSB project.
1987	•	Upgraded some manual machinery to semi-auto machinery.
1986	•	The year where Powerwell was born under the entity of Canweld Engineering Works. Powerwell Sdn Bhd was registered with the R.O.C.
Before 1986	•	Canweld Engineering Works, a sole proprietor company was incorporated in a makeshift factory 0f +/- 150 meter at Sg Besi, Kuala Lumpur. All machinery were manual type with most processes done by hand.
