{"id":7211,"date":"2026-08-10T10:35:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T02:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.powerwell.com.my\/?post_type=position&#038;p=7211"},"modified":"2026-08-13T17:07:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T09:07:21","slug":"purchasing-executive","status":"publish","type":"position","link":"https:\/\/www.powerwell.com.my\/id\/position\/purchasing-executive\/","title":{"rendered":"Purchasing Executive"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Location of Work<\/strong>: Shah Alam<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Managed the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing, requesting quotations, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Negotiated pricing, payment terms, and contracts with local and international suppliers to achieve cost savings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluated and selected suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and reliability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintained strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and resolve delivery or quality issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitored inventory levels and coordinated with warehouse, production, and planning teams to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conducted market research to identify alternative suppliers and cost-effective purchasing opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensured purchased materials met company quality standards and delivery requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepared procurement reports, purchase analyses, and supplier performance evaluations for management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintained accurate purchasing records and ensured compliance with company procurement policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinated with finance to verify invoices, process payments, and resolve discrepancies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supported annual budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Worked closely with cross-functional departments to ensure procurement activities aligned with operational requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform general administrative duties as assigned from time to time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform ad hoc duties assigned by superior from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration or supply chain management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 years of purchasing and procurement experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiar with the purchasing process, including PR, RFQ, quotation comparison, purchase order issuance, delivery follow-up, and supplier evaluation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good understanding of basic commercial terms, pricing analysis, lead time, inventory considerations, and documentation control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to source suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, and negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other purchasing terms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience using an ERP or purchasing system is an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good communication and negotiation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage where required for supplier liaison.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meticulous, organised, and able to manage multiple purchase requests and deadlines effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to work independently while coordinating closely with internal departments, suppliers, warehouse\/store, planning, and accounts teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High integrity, accountability, and awareness of company purchasing procedures and conflict-of-interest requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","job-company":[135],"department":[123],"class_list":["post-7211","position","type-position","status-publish","hentry","job-company-powerwell","department-supply-chain-department"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
