Role Summary
Lead and grow Firerex’s sales and marketing function with primary responsibility for driving revenue, managing key customer relationships, preparing accurate budgetary quotations, and positioning Firerex as a trusted fire-protection partner in Malaysia.
Ideal candidate is technically fluent in fire protection systems (pre action system, gas suppression, foam system, water spray, water mist, etc.), experienced in project-based sales, and able to translate market needs into sales wins and commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Generation & Sales Execution
- Own and achieve monthly/annual revenue targets across project and product sales.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities (contractors, MEP consultants, distributors).
- Manage and grow key accounts; serve as point-of-escalation for strategic customers.
- Drive sales pipeline development and forecasting accuracy.
2. Quotations & Commercial Management
- Prepare, review, and approve budgetary quotations with precise scope, pricing, and lead times.
- Support tender submissions with accurate technical and commercial documentation.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with contractors, consultants, and end-users.
- Conduct regular customer reviews (monthly/quarterly) with key accounts.
- Provide pre-sales support: product info, system recommendations, and basic technical advice.
4. Team Leadership & Cross-Department Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with supply chain, projects, and technical teams to ensure on-time delivery and installation readiness.
- Enhance internal communication flow to enhance customer experience.
5. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities in new segments (e.g., data centers, special hazards).
- Provide insights to management on market trends, pricing dynamics, and new product opportunities.
- Contribute to long-term sales strategy and business development plans.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 – 7 years in sales experience in fire protection, M&E, safety systems, or construction-related industries.
- Proven ability to deliver sales growth and manage solution based sales cycles.
- Familiarity with fire protection standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of fire suppression technologies is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Strong time management, organization, and follow-up discipline.
